A creature from the blue lagoon

It's a long time since I've used my macro lens. This photo shows that I should really mount the camera on a tripod. Never mind.

The interior of the nigella flower and the unfurling stamens reminded me of some monster coming to life.

Finkins haven't got permission to put table on the pavement yet so we didn't stop there but went to Olivia's at the Outwoods instead. I wonder if Trading Standards have been in touch with them yet. I complained last week that they seem to have no idea of just how dangerous it can be to be evasive about gluten free food. They probably think coeliac disease is just another  allergy when in fact it's a dangerous autoimmune illness that can. kill.
