A Fine Brood
Mother duck keeps her brood close in the wetland where they are mostly protected from activities on the lake by a barrier of tall cattail reeds. I count nine ducklings, mother duck is on the right, not much bigger now.
Extra: Elderberry Explosion. Across on the other side of the inlet, elderberry bushes have come into flower, putting on a fine display.
