Clematis

Taken out to lunch today by a dear friend.
Belated 80th birthday present.
Have had a lovely time.
Spoilt for choice, but I asked if C fancied sharing the ploughman's platter and she thought it a good idea. We also ordered a portion of chips to share.
When the platter came it would hardly fit on the table. Two different types of soda bread, pate,  ham, beef, two different cheeses, pork pie, silver skin onions, chutney, coleslaw, and salad.
All delicious, but we were unfortunately too full to have a pudding! All for £14.95.
Will be back another day for the dessert!

This gorgeous clematis was growing up an archway in their garden.  A new addition last year. She said she had pruned it hard which was obviously the right thing to do as it was covered in buds.
( name unknown)
Thanks C. for a lovely meal out and also for providing me with a blip for Flower Friday.

Certainly a much cooler day with rain showers, so no watering needed tonight.
