Last day...

...of my 'staycation' or holiday at home, if you will, and I went to meet a friend [extra] at Attenborough Nature Reserve, which is only 20 or so mins away on the train. It's made wonder why I haven't done this more often. I ride past it on the train every time I go to Nottingham. 

The main pic is of the fairly recent Sand Martin hide; there were plenty on the wing.

In other wildlife related news I watched two Kites at close quarters checking out a field on my cycle back home from the station. I've seen them from afar but not up close. And, as luck would have it, having been where I've been today I had my binoculars with me. Result!
