Blue Banded Desmoiselle Damselfly

This beautiful creature was to be found at another small reserve I visited today - Darley and Nutwood Nature reserve on the edge of the city of Derby. It is a bit overgrown now but it looks like a brilliant place to visit a little earlier in the year.
We also went to Darley Abbey park very nearby which has a superb area of gardens absolutely designed to attract insects. I shall return to continue the quest for butterflies!
