Catching up with the gossip

Tonight I went to meet a couple of old friends at another of my favourite pubs -The Fairfield Arms. This one is a converted Victorian house which still has its old fireplaces, stained glass windows and I think the ladies toilets are original too. Used to be a Boddington's pub but sadly they are no longer providing the ale.

It's a really good meeting place - the food is good and not sold at city prices and the staff are great - a relaxed atmosphere and we old codgers can use the Diamond card to get 25% off the food bill - that really appeals to a Yorkshire gal's heart!
