Impromptu BBQ. Always welcome.

My wife had some outpatient surgery done at the local regional hospital; a fine place. They were running several Sunday surgeries as part of backlog management. One of the surgeons remarked to her surgeon that he had eight on his list today, she had sixteen cases. After discharge we had a short walk in the fresh air in the hospital woods and farm. And then went to the home of our younger son and partner for a barbecue. It was a warm early evening and the food and chat were very good. We didn’t stay late; an early morning London school trip was about to begin; last week of school in session 2023-24.
