Kinema in the woods.

We went to an afternoon showing of "Six inches of soil" a film about a few farmers who are farming in a much more sustainable way, a way which improves the soil and has a great preventive effect on flooding. It is hard to swim against the tide but the improvement in the soil, the crops they were getting and the meat they were producing was excellent. It is shocking how much of of our farm land is compacted and dead and these few farmers were committed to improve their land and sell their produce locally rather than have prices dictated by supermarkets. A really interesting film.
Kinema in the woods in Woodhall Spa is a unique cinema, quite old fashioned but just delightful.
