By popular request, we returned to the woods today so that grandsons could continue to investigate the contents of the pond.  They spent considerable time in there and I envied their immunity to the temperature.  Torran asked whether it was shoal or a school of tadpoles.  Google suggested the blip title and it seemed entirely appropriate.
