The new court

I played this morning on the new court visible behind the umbrella. It is an improvement on the old court which was pockmarked with small holes and gave quite a few false bounces. The new one still has some uneven bounce. The dishwasher repair man came and I had to run back from the tennis to sort things out with him. He was unable to solder the new parts so the machine has had to go back to the repair depot and we will not have it back until after the holiday,
