Close Shave

The Squirrels usually disappear this time of the year as they can forage elsewhere and don’t need to share their food with my small birds visitors. A friend made this cage (now a bit tatty) to keep out bigger birds and rats. It should be ‘Alice-proof’ too! However, it was a close shave this morning. I am happy to report that, despite a race along the garden and fence, the Squirrel managed to leap to the safety of the trees! Thank goodness!
