The Isle of Man

Very hot and humid visit to the Solway Coast timed to include High Tide (16:14 at Annan)

This was a bit of a surprise, The Isle of Man just visible through the heat Haze at Cardurnock on the top corner of the Cumbria coast.

Many biting insects bit us but we did have an enjoyable afternoon with many more dragonflies including around 30 Common Darter on very short walk. Almost 50 bird species seen on RSPB Campfield Marsh and the nearby shoreline.

Petrol stop in Wigton then drove back via Bassenthwaite and Skiddaw looked fantastic in clearer evening light
