The youngest member of the family - a grand age 5 - called in with his mum and insisted his great-grandfather post the carefully coloured-in saltire in the window.

Later in the day, his mum confirmed that his first painful experience was proving a hard lesson in being a Scottish national team supporter. His dad had returned from a few great days with the Tartan Army and will be able to reassure him the world has not ended and there is always the next time.
