Hatched ...

The eggs of the coot I blipped on June the 14th have hatched at last. I could make this picture at the end of the day.

It was a bit cloudy day and the temperature was clearly lower than in recent days by the cold winds from the north. But by the end of the afternoon the sun broke still a bit behind the clouds.

I walked to the place of the coots nest. At least three of the seven eggs have hatched and three cootlings found themselves on the edge while the female was busy rearranging everything in the nest.

I found the light of the afternoon sun very attractive. I tried to capture that ... ;)
