A Splash of Colour

Woke to another cloud inversion.  I parked by the lake and strolled into town for a cuppa and scone with several people from the walking group.  We discussed where to go for our walk next Monday.  (Bull Ridge).  Lovely to have a relaxing catch up.  Nice to see a splash in a nearby garden.

Tomorrow is Matariki, (Maori New Year).  It is a public holiday.  There are going to be events held at the Wanaka Lake Front, usually fireworks, but sadly not this year.  They are advertising a 'light show', so not sure what that will involve.  I plan to nip down to the lake late afternoon to see what there is to see and photograph.
