In suspense

Up early to give Nancy a lift to the railway station for her first commute to Edinburgh. I drove home and snoozed on the couch for an hour with the cat on my chest.

When I came to, I sat outside watching the cloud lift from The Cheviot as I ate breakfast. It’ll be a long time before I tire of that.

I had a list of house move things to do so I set about them so that I could get out on my bike later and try a route I’ve been planning for a while. Hugely enjoyable although a farmer at the road side had a good chuckle at my strawberry red face as I struggled up Scott's View from the Drygrange side. The final sector back to the house was technical as there is very little gravel (mostly mud). It didn't stop me enjoying the overall ride, I'll just tweak that last bit next time.

Home alone tonight so I'll watch Tour de France previews and eat pizza.
