Visiting my sister Shirley today….

…… in Knaresborough, N. Yorkshire.
Just setting off back home. It’s a 2hr 13 min. journey. But we’ll make a stop. A lovely lunch at The Kestrel pub with her and my brother-in-law. Then a short drive to Ripley for some Ripley icecream. Evidently well known for it. A village owned by the Ingleby family which goes back to Norman times.
There are no street lights or overhead wires, like Downham village in Lancashire. It is very pretty with a castle and lovely buildings.
The weather has been perfect, sunny and warm.
Our Sat nav eta at home is 20:56.
So with an added stop we’ll be back by 21.30.
Currently on the A1M, which merges into the M1, then on to the M42.
Very light traffic just now.
