Plodding On - New Scapa Road
The adopted theme of the mundane continues. You’re so right – it’s the thrill of the chase. Through to Kirkwall for dancing on an utterly sunless day. I met Norman chatting to Ian ootside his garage. I hadn’t seen Ian for an age. I said I had no time for light banter as I was late for dancing. They shouted at me ‘Are you a man or a terpsichorean?’ I decided to put an egg in my boot and beat it. Truth was, I was on my way to check out the latest whisky in Bruce’s Stores. A disappointment. Post-dancing the Current Mrs Creel took me out to Sheila Fleet’s for lunch. I met Dave , who, again, I hadn’t spoken to for a long while. He made a startling announcement by saying that Craig has a pair of electrostatic speakers for sale. Also met Ken in Sheila Fleet’s; ne’er a sign o’ Barbie. Back in toon I was despatched for messages when CMC went for a screening in the hospital. I met Ian again and this time took the minutes during a thorough debriefing. Arrived home in a sooth-east wind, a dense fog and rain getting heavier by the minute. There must be days like this in Patagonia.
