The Studland Ferry

I have travelled to Swanage today using three modes of transport- train, then bus which was then transported over the entrance of Poole harbour on the old chain ferry to beautiful Studland.In this photo you can see the ferry in the distance heading this way. It is dragged across using massive chains. Crossing that piece of water, you can feel your body relaxing and unwinding as you go across to the Isle of Purbeck then on to Swanage.
We have had a very peaceful day on the empty beach chatting with old friends . Now going to cook up a caravan curry- M&S style!
