River Avon

Here is the River Avon, view from the grounds of Charlecote Park. It is very hot and sunny today. As I sat by the river I watched lots of damselflies, the ones that are blue with a black spot on their wings. There were also lots of swallows both by the river and the main house of Charlecote Park. Then I walked along the avenue of old Lime trees. They are in flower and the smell is lovely. I put my bird app on and singing along there was a blackcap, a wren, a blackbird, a robin and pigeon. Probably lots of others along the way too. It is very hot for dogs today. My two are sheltering in the house, just snoozing quietly.
