Next Lot of Babies

A mother moorhen snuggled down in the warm grass with her two new chicks. These will be at least the second brood, possibly a third. Some of the larger chicks from a previous brood were nearby so these birds seem to be quite successful at Whitworth Park, Darley Dale near Matlock.
