Cat's Paw

Rubus laciniatus

Several years ago, I bought two cut-leaved Blackberry plants from a local garden centre, both sold under the cultivar name 'Oregon Thornless'. While one has consistently lived up to its 'thornless' name over the years, the other started producing some distinctly spiny shoots after a couple of years, and now seems to have reverted entirely to its Rubus laciniatus parentage. In both cases, Mrs Catspaw and I are more than satisfied with the quality and quantity of the fruits produced.
