Beauty is all around us.

By Grace55

A very warm day in the garden.

The Feast Day of St John and St Paul. They were two brothers in 360AD, who served as army officers in the court of Constantia, daughter of Emperor Constantine. They stood up for Christianity and were martyred.

Today we are blessed with a breeze that helps make it more bearable in this intense heat. 24c in the living room.

I was awake at 4:30am. Hunter stayed out all night, Holly stayed indoors.

Paul went to Burnley for an early consultation appointment and he was pleased there is nothing at all to worry about. Such a relief. Praise God.

I went to the shops for more cucumber, eggs, pineapple chunks, our newspaper and The People's Friend.

Then I potted up some rocket and some lettuce seedlings. I watered the tender plants. I found a bigger flowerpot for a Pink Lady apple seedling.

The cats are on the lawn chasing butterflies and generally enjoying a carefree life.

The conservatory smells of jasmine flowers. I love it.

I am listening to Storm Huntley's discussion show and then I will listen to Holy Mass from Portlaoise in Ireland before lunch.

In the photo, left to right, newly potted up lettuce, Paul doing puzzles, Star of Bethlehem flowers, Holly sunbathing and variegated nasturtium leaves.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for dropping by blip friends.
