I was here first!

Today I got up at the crack of dawn (well, 6.15am) to say goodbye to Daughter#1 as she headed off to catch the first in a succession of buses and trains back to Denmark. It was lovely to have her home for the fortnight, even though she was working for part of the time.

In the afternoon I passed this farm as the cows were lining up in an orderly fashion to go into the milking parlour. I imagined the one second on the right saying, " Oi, stop trying to jump the queue! I was here first!"

I'm always surprised at how bony cattle are, even when they have plenty of lush green grass to eat...


PS  I've just noticed that 'Grand Tours of Scotland' on BBC2 at 7pm tonight features the Jacobite steam train journey that Clan MacFreuchie did last Tuesday. Might be worth watching.
