Colorful

I spotted these down on the terrace and liked the colors.  Apparently they're chives - not what I think of when I hear the word chives.

I had a scare today.  I was cuddling with Sylvie this morning and found myself thinking of the little cat I had before Minkelina. She was a Himalayan and she came to me after her owner, Lex's mother-in-law, became seriously ill.  I had never wanted a long haired cat, but I fell in love with her and she lived with me for eight years, until kidney failure took her life.  And I could not remember her name.  I kept searching for it in my brain all day, getting more frightened as time went on and I couldn't think of it.  Finally something Lex said made the name pop into my mind.  I know I shouldn't be so weirded out about this, but she was my own cat - how could I forget her name?

Dialysis was okay today, and I got out at 2:15.  Then did a grocery pick-up and came home with my usual headache.  So aside from going down to the terrace and picking up the mail, I've been resting since I got home.  I watched the last of the track and field Olympic trials, recorded yesterday.

I'll be getting that haircut tomorrow, if the rain holds off.
