More Tain blip happiness

The world will have to forgive me another Tain garden flowers blip, including some peonies I've brought in to the living room.

I was on the look out for other blips during the day, but nothing presented itself, so in the end I've made a collage of some photos I took around lunchtime today.

I worked in Tain until mid afternoon, although to be fair I also went out for coffee and a bacon roll with Mr A. That said, in the early afternoon I made good progress planning out some bits and pieces I'm going to take care of during the summer.

As intended last week (but not delivered upon), I got the 1546 train into Inverness, saving Mr A the job of giving me a ride. This gave me the opportunity to listen to a fascinating podcast about a book I had heard of, but which I now have decided to buy and read. The train was delayed arriving into Tain, but made up the time on the way so arrived on time. I had ample time get done what I intended to do in Inverness: buy a new water bottle for travelling from Blacks; find something easy to eat (a delicious fish finger sandwich from the street food vendors in the Victorian market); and make a trip into the M&S foodhall to pick up some milk for breakfast tomorrow.

The train to Edinburgh was also on time, although unlike the last couple of times I've travelled in the evening, the light was not great. It was raining most of the way until we reached Edinburgh. Very low cloud over the hills. The usual very smooth transfer onto the tram at Haymarket and sprint across the park which was much darker than last week saw me in a very muggy and airless flat by 10.40pm.

Just time to do my blip and journal the book I finished on the train, which was not well reviewed in the Guardian. I must confess I rather enjoyed it.
