New Strachur Pontoon

I had to go to Glasgow today and the sun was not shining much there though it kept looking as if it might break through.

However once I was back over the "Rest & Be Thankful" into Argyll the sun came out .

I hadn't got a blip by then though, but fortunately I remembered this new pontoon at Strachur which was opened by the Tourism Minister, Fergus Ewing, a couple of months ago in very different weather.

There are many piers and pontoons on Loch Fyne but this is one that is particularly functional and designed for small boats in order to encourage tourism in the area. The impetus for it came from the local community and it already seems to be well used.
