Splashing Around At Gullane
Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,
It was an amazingly sunny day so The Eldest Mini Princess and I decided to go for a swim at Gullane. We asked YMP if she would like to come too.
YMP: “I can’t. I have an eye test at 9:30 am”
Me: “That’s ok. We won’t be going until later.
YMP: “Yeah…but I really don’t want to.”
So that was a “no”!
We had a lovely time. It was flat calm and a balmy 12°C. EMP and I love being in the sea but aren’t keen on anything touching us, especially if they sting. Fish are fine, jellyfish are not (and there were a couple today). Seaweed is a definite no as everyone knows that’s where sea monsters hide. We both jump if we accidentally brush against each other in the water. Can’t be too vigilant when it comes to those sea monsters!
It was so warm that we had dinner outside in the garden (even though it’s shaded in the evening) and stayed out chatting until about 9 pm. Sunny days in Scotland feel like holiday days and it’s still too much of a novelty for anyone to complain that it’s too hot.
