Not so little Ducklings

Routine blood tests for my husband this morning and except on an odd occasion, he will now have his weekly blood tests on a Tuesday. Our usual phlebotomist has left and our new one currently does not work on Monday. She was excellent, no bruising, which is quite something as my husband bruises if you look at him too closely! Results this evening between 1800 hours and 1808 hours on MyChart. If they do not appear then they will not be uploaded until about 2200 hours.
 
Far too hot to do very much although I did sort out all of my jewellery before lunch. The afternoon will be spent in our coolest room reading my current book.
 
Today’s picture is of eight of our eleven ducklings; they are quite grown-up now. There are a lot of other ducks in the garden so quite possibly the other three are there somewhere, together with almost fully grown Moorhens. The Heron visited this morning, but the Jackdaws continue to be a nuisance and frighten the little birds away. I have put water out, but not filled the feeding stations.

And you know what today is? Six months to Christmas!!!
