ABUNDANCE

Called into the garden to discuss pruning of the vine with gardener and husband, I looked up and saw this amazing cluster of fruit on a very old naartjie tree.Parts of the tree have died off so this was such a surprise. The variety, unknown to me, is of the old heritage kind, so to be cherished. The fruit is sweet as can be. Husband and dog usually go looking for a fruit treat in the afternoon. D loves to flick a segment of naartjie to Honey. It sails through the air in a perfect arc and Honey, ever vigilant, catches it mid air.
