Tiny tendril with sheltering tiny insect
The tiny tendril is of the passionfruit plant at the end of the garden. This plant produced a few flowers that didn't get much past the bud stage, then shrivelled on the vine. We have another passionfruit plant up the side on which we've counted about seven fruit. So far we have harvested two. Cut in half, one was pure pith and immature seeds. The other was ambrosia from the fields of paradise.
A kilo of passionfruit can be bought for not much at the green grocer's right now. Always the way. Never mind, it's fun watching it all.
As for the tiny insect, the Resident Gardener said it is a mosquito and he's probably right, except it looked smaller than the average mozzie and it didn't race out to bite me, the mozzie magnet.
Thanks for hosting tiny Tuesday for June, SK. You set fun sub themes and I hope you enjoyed it.
