Mono mizzly Monday

A mizzly start to the day, but quite warm so I decided to get in an early bike ride. 2 hours of generally traffic free lanes and roads. Back strengthening was my main goal and so some seated low cadence hills were the reason for my discomfort later in the day.
A couple of impatient drivers as per usual but nothing that hospitalised me:)
Back in my field I organised Amadeus and topped up the water tank, brushed out the hay that had been dragged in during the Indian invasion;)
A pleasant couple of hours with Lorraine was enjoyed strolling around RHS Rosemoor, an excellent display of roses, some magnificent alstroemerias, multi floral clematis all overshadowed by the stunning display of water lilies. This was followed up by a visit to the restaurant for a warm beverage and a shared date and walnut flapjack dosed with clotted cream.
Into town for some essential items for base camp was highly successful before a trip to Barnstaple and then to my workplace to tidy up parts of a survey we are taking part in.
As I arrived “home” I was invited out for supper with a good but very chatty friend who ultimately required a lift to a local church tomorrow for a £2 lunch and natter.
On returning back to my field I learned that a good cycling friend was moving to Wales and the local 10 mile time trial was being held this coming Thursday as a sending off party for him. 4 months after being run into by a vehicle driven by a man who was driving too fast and too close to the vehicle in front and not being aware.I have entered a race with a different reason for riding than in my previous ones, participation for the benefit of others.
I must have nodded off and was woken by a ping of my phone, Lorraine had sent me some information from one of the online Bible analytics to read, I returned some to allow reasoning and to prove that you can find whatever you need on the internet to help you agree with your own opinion or beliefs.
