What I've Done

Buttermere from Fleetwith Pike

Having completed the Wainwright Charity Challenge (though the just giving page remains open) we are now able to do whatever walks we like, rather than those we need to do! Today we parked at Buttermere village, walked along the Lakeshore, climbed Fleetwith Pike, then dropped down to the Honister pass via Honister Crag, went up Dale Head, Robinson and finally High Snockrigg.( the fells on the right hand edge of the photo

Covered 14.8 miles and climbed 3900 feet - and I thought we were going to take it easy!

Extra of the Rusty Hut at Honister quarry, which has finally succumbed to the weight of the spoil heap. - A sad day for the fans of the hut, and I know a few LPH guests that remember it fondly..
