Volcan de Lemptegy
We had a super visit to the Lemptegy volcano today. It’s a very interesting one to visit because from 1947 to 2006 it was excavated for the scoria (solidified lava splatter). Left behind are a variety of different rock formations including volcanic bombs and volcanic chimneys. It has been made into a very informative tourist attraction. See extra.
We said goodbye to our friends, who are heading to a different area of France, and went for a walk up to Puy Pariou. We are now spending the night in a campsite in Pontgibaud.
