Oats

It was supposed to rain at night, and it did, though just a little. As the next rain is expected next weekend, it was the time to mow the rest of the hay. But a couple of hours after mowing, it rained! Two millimetres, which is useless in the drought, but more than enough to make the hay wet. I had not tedded it yet, and did it a few hours later, topping edges of other fields in between.

The cereals are heading, but they could look better. It has rained 42.5 millimetres after seeding, most of it 13-18 days ago and it seems that the driest spots have sprouted after that, at least on the nearest barley field, so there may be new heads coming out when the first ones are ready for harvest.
