Spoke briefly with this man.  He was on holiday but he was photographing the house his grandparents lived in before they became part of the Orcadian diaspora.  Long term viewers will obviously be able to spot Davie’s van outside his hoose (East Anglian viewers have an opt out).  Despite the sparkling start to the day we went into Scottish Country dancing.  Beforehand (to make sure I was fairly psyched up for Ramadance) I went into two separate banks trying to fine tune a PoA and try out newly issued bank cards.  Which didn’t work.  After our Toon Hall lunch time snack (I touched glasses with Karen) we ventured to Dounby to visit my Mum.  Even CMC was amazed for, as we entered her room – and without missing the beat, she announced ‘I’ve just had a visit from Eric Idle and his two daughters.’  She was also concerned about what to buy her father for Christmas – he died 48 years ago.  After a large recovery G and T we will be returning to Kirkwall this evening for more dancing.  The days roll by.
