The Last Bus

Perfect timing in leaving The Tiq, JacktheLad’s last bus arriving just as we reached the bus stop. That was the only positive thing that happened after 8pm!
I’d another full day’s tenpin in Sunderland with seriously mixed results but our team ended up in 2nd place overall, thanks in part to the huge handicap I was given after the first few rubbish games. Every cloud and all that! We were late finishing and I really didn’t think we’d get back in time for the footie but the roads were amazingly quiet & we made it with five minutes to spare. Why did we bother? you may well ask but Scottish optimism can be hard to ignore. The team were poor, the tactics seriously dodgy again, the subs baffling. Just not a good day at the office. Still, World Cup qualifying beckons ……
