Corner

Moorhen or Coot? I can never remember. Whichever (it had a white bill, moorhen?), if you look closely in amongst the reflections there is a nest.

I had planned a long walk round one of our localish commons and SSI woodlands today but by the time I'd waited for the shopping to be delivered (at the wrong end of the delivery slot, and without a whole heap of things), the forecast was for it to be quite warm. That plus it was going to take us an annoying amount of time to get there and back meant the thought of a four walk was was less enticing.  I decided it could wait until another day. Instead we didn't shorter one (still six miles or so) in the opposite direction, ending up in an award winning community pub a few miles away from home.

Home now  to play with the hosepipe and in time to (buy and) cook pizzas for tea.

No.1 Not Child got the job btw. Despite not having the qualification they wanted  and having to interview in her second language she beat all the other candidates and starts in September. She is very pleased and Himself and Iare both very proud. Hopefully this give her some confidence and stability and will be a corner for her
