Magnificent
Went into Huddersfield at lunchtime with MrM and James. They both played with a Gypsy Jazz group for 'More in Common', to celebrate 'Refugee Week, The Great Get Together, and Roma, Gypsy and Travellers month', held in the open air area of the Piazza. They look a rather motley group of musicians (extra), but they sounded good! The Piazza probably was 'Magnificent' once, but it's looking rather run down now, possibly due to the fact that part of it is due for demolition as part of the council's 'Cultural Heart' scheme.
While MrM played, I had a look round the event, then bought a couple of essentials before browsing around a few shops.
We were home by mid-afternoon, and not long afterwards MrM left to play fiddle at another ceilidh, this time in the Dales. I had planned to go to a ceilidh in Holmfirth this evening, but the cough is getting worse again, and coughing fits and dancing aren't a good idea. So, reluctantly, I stayed at home. Put the time to good use by sorting through my wardrobe. There's now a huge bagful of garments to go to charity, mostly things I know I will never fit in to again!
