Onwards and upwards....

3465. New scarf….

I spotted this on the Facebook page of a shop I absolutely love, called “Revival” so I messaged the owner yesterday and asked her to keep it for me!  I collected it this morning and it’s stunning!  It is covered in skeletons and skulls all bejewelled!  It’s so unusual that I couldn’t resist it.

I also ordered a new ironing board cover this morning and got very frustrated with Amazon in the process.  We gave up our Prime membership a few months ago because it just wasn’t worth it any longer so we now try and use the local drop off option as it’s often free or cheaper than their standard delivery.  I found the cover I wanted but it wasn’t one of the items that they deliver to a drop off…now I would have understood this if it had been an ironing board…but not the cover?  In the end I decided to go through the Brabantia web site and not only was it cheaper than Amazon but the postage was very reasonable too.

I also had yet another occasion to contact Apple about the Ultra Watch (which used to be mine and is only 13 months old), that I have gifted to my husband.  I was told that as it was 13 months old, it wasn’t covered under their warranty so I tried the argument that under consumer law in the UK there are some instances when companies have to offer free repairs for items under two years old.  The lady I spoke to didn’t agree but said she would run the request through her system…and lo and behold…it is covered under consumer law.  As she wasn’t UK based I guess she wouldn’t’ assume that it might be covered under an exception to the 12 month warranty, it always pays to ask the question for expensive items like this as companies do sometimes agree to repair them.  Apple are sending us a box and providing they don’t find any accidental damage to the watch, it will be repaired free of charge.  I’m hopeful that we will have a resolution that doesn’t cost us anything!
