Rapt

Spent a couple of hours with A planting up some lettuce and lobelia plugs and hanging out the washing etc before we had some coffee and toast then she made me a packed lunch and I set off south. Lovely bright warm day, although all the way down there was still a fair amount of cloud around.
Apart from coming off the A1 because of a long queue at one point it was smooth going all the way, and I was completely consumed by listening to a new mystery by Claire Douglas called The Woman Who Lied. I enjoyed it as much as her other one that I’ve read, The couple at no.9.
I decided to drive all the way down to see Mt&H and the weans because I’m not sure when I’ll next see them. Lovely to just get an hour of hurly burly family time, with Mx showing me the new piano and his Lego, and AR bringing Tilly the cat over and telling me about sports day tomorrow and going to the local theatre tonight with Mt. H has been accepted onto a counselling course that starts in September (unfortunately but inevitably in London rather than Edinburgh), and Mt is going for an interview at another firm on Thursday but not sure if he’d move if it was offered.
After catching up with them all I drove up to K’s, perfectly timing it to hear the end of the story as I pulled off the motorway!
Lots of catching up of this last week’s events to do as well as planning for the week in Cornwall over some salad and cups of tea. Hope the weather is now set fair!
