More joy

Although grey skies are often a sign of dull weather the climate around Amadeus was quite the opposite this morning.
A party of young men and women from Newcastle who arrived late last night and chatted joyfully around the large campfire gradually crept out of their tents. Some looking weary some quite fresh. I offered them warm drinks., toast and boiled eggs for breakfast and it was gratefully received. Conversation was diverse and fascinating, such kind and thoughtful people who were very much in touch with each other and God. Nearly six hours later the gang broke camp, tidied up and took it in turns to give me a hug and a hand shake. Their journey home was a six hour drive away. I suggested that they should visit Lynton and Lynmouth and drive across Exmoor via Porlock and pick up the motorway at Taunton.
I tidied up and worked for a couple of hours on my coached clients training sessions.
Next was a refreshing bike ride via Lorraine’s house to drop off some food for Logan who has been limping for a few days now.
I felt strong and relaxed on the bike ride and enjoyed the hills and descents of the local roads. Arriving back to camp just in time for a quick shower and brush up before heading over to the 16:00 pm church service in Appledore. We sang and played some music together and happily made time fly by.
Light refreshments followed and we exchanged positive vibes before heading out for some sea air.
I sauntered around the quay avoiding the mass of crab fishing lines and meeting many of my friends and customers from around the area who remembered me fondly from my time in retail across the river in Instow.
I spontaneously walked into the Beaver inn and enjoyed a hearty bowl of fish chowder whilst listening to live music and again catching up with some of my friends from the area. Nearly 3 hours later I headed back to my new home and fell soundly asleep
