Sunday...

...started late due to your Gal catching up on last week's lack of sleep. This wasn't in the plan but it must have been required because I was pretty much dead to the world for the morning.

Early in the afternoon eldest requested a parental-Ubër ride to see her friend in Ashton, so I agreed on the condition Biscuit could come along too.

We rode the long way back, taking in Mossley/Lydgate (Milepost pic)/Uppermill/Diggle/Marsden (see *)/Meltham (gate with a view looking towards Huddersfield)/Holme/Holme Moss Summit to the  Woodhead Pass/Hollingworth then home.

Following a late dinner/early tea of chunky fish finger sandwiches (very Nom) I cut the lawns, watered the hanging baskets and took Shadow for a walk over the local Golf course, collecting youngest from my parents on the way back.

Am going to try and sleep now because tomorrow is Monday and there are things to do.

* - this piccie is looking down from the A62 to the Standedge Tunnel portals at Marsden. What you can see is the River Colne being taken over the transpennine railway by Aqueduct, and below the railway line is the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. The canal and railway run alongside one another in parallel tunnels beneath the moorland to Diggle & onto Manchester.
