Bug

A day of pottering. It was the warmest day so far, so I didn’t exert myself too much. There was a dead bank vole in the garden this morning - probably a cat victim, but I saw a live one scavenging under the bird table later, so I’m hoping that there are still a few around.
I’ve had an email reminding me that it’s the great butterfly count soon. Based on what we’ve seen in the garden so far this year, it will be slim pickings. At least this little harlequin ladybird brought a bit of invertebrate colour into the garden
