Learning to fly...

It's been a lovely sunny day and Janet and I took the bikes out for a decent 30km around Berkeley and Rockhampton. Decent in that there were a naughty couple of pints at The Salutation in Ham, which made the return leg a little wobbly.

The shot above was taken from my bedroom window this morning, as the fledgling robin tried out its new party rick and fell off the fence into the garden! Not to be beaten, it was back up and flapping for all it was worth and eventually took to the comforts of the hedgerow.

On this day in history, eight years ago... seventeen million people outvoted sixteen million, while thirteen million couldn't be bothered to vote, and thus the UK was pulled out of the EU. And pulled into an unending kleptocracy of additional costs, additional red tape and additional corruption.

Not that I'm bitter at all. I'm over it. Totally.
