Acorn Woodpecker

It was a gloomy day for the most part but for a couple hours the sun shone through. I had a late afternoon eye appointment and couldn't beat the rain on my way home. We got a nice soak, something we really needed. The monsoon is here! Just waiting for the strong thunderstorms.

I managed to get to Madera Canyon during the sunny period. After looking at the photos I took, I realized I need to use a longer lens and make some setting adjustments. Most notably the f-stop. This Acorn woodpecker turned out pretty well.

Boss - Do you think you can come in on Saturday? I know you enjoy your weekends but I need you here.
Me - Yeah, no problem. I'll probably be late though as public transport on weekends is slow.
Boss - What time will you get here?
Me - Monday.
