A Day In The Life

A Sign

All six of our winterberry bushes are loaded with flowers right now which means lots of bright red berries to look forward to this fall. We planted them to attract cedar waxwings and robins during the spring but those dear deer tend to gobble them up months before then. Bluebirds and Woodpeckers are also fans • I love how the berries look after a snowfall. If you want to grow winterberries you’ll need at least one male plant for pollination. Ours consists of four females and two males • It poured all morning but this afternoon we’re in a lull until more rain and storms move through early this evening. Local meteorologists are saying an unusual severe weather occurrence could result in isolated tornadoes in parts of Vermont, NH, Maine and Massachusetts. Let’s hope not!! • Peace & Love
