So we stood by this beach restaurant and watched half a dozen swifts thoroughly enjoying themselves swooping down in through the posts and up again to the sky, screaming with delight. It was such a wonderful few moments. Impossible to capture them, with my skills and equipment, but this is a reminder.
Part of the beach is closed off to allow little terns to nest in peace - later we saw two anxious terns, who hadn't read the notices, hurrying along behind a very sweet chick.
Proper hot, up in the thirties so not much doing after beach walk and lunch, just home for shade and rest. M. not too well today so that also restricted our options.
