Busy

So, the meeting with the Head of School about me reducing my contract was OK, but he doesn't know the details of our group. When I got my detailed workload figure for this year from the head of our group, he pointed out that I'd been lucky to do so little this year. I think there's some envy of the success I'm having with HiGHS. He pointed conditions on me dropping to 50%, and the Head of School then tag-teamed with him. I told the HoS how unreasonable he was, and the dust is now settling. All very male: if you demonstrate strength, your superiors gang up to suppress you. It's probably equally male, but if/when push comes to shove, I know that I have the professional high ground...
