Broad-leaved Marsh Orchid…

… Himself has been letting parts of the garden grow wild at this time of year, for two or three years now. This year, orchids are really popping up to say ‘hello’. We never dreamed we would see more than one or two. It’s a thrill to see them.

The man himself does not have Covid (we checked) but he is still a bit off his perch.
(Not enough to miss the TV rugby today though. I’d know to worry if he gave that a miss!).

I cooked a semi-decent dinner, and wrote a letter of complaint about an expensive jumper that shrank. (Boiled wool anyone? Ah those childhood swimming costumes!!). A successful letter, because I’m going to receive a refund (quite rightly. I’m an experienced washerwoman these days and I had been super careful. Nevertheless I hadn’t really expected a refund). Some wins are surprising. We should celebrate them.

So that was Saturday then. (Almost).
